Songwriter, Storyteller, and Poet, George Schricker, has been performing his original and interactive songs and stories for children and adults since 1982.
He has released ten music albums through his company, Heart Mind Productions. Family audiences have enjoyed George’s original programs on nature and animals, ecology, storytelling, and storytelling. His programs incorporate themes of cooperation, kindness, and respect for the environment and all living beings
The Story Inside, George’s storytelling workshop, utilizing drawing, gesture, music, and creative storyboarding, has been presented in over fifty educational settings to a wide range of age levels—from 3rd grade to adults. He has also presented workshops in poetry, Word Play, and, Songwriting, Tuning In.
George's latest children's album, George's Brother, has received national reviews from School Library Journal and Parent's Guide.
In 2006, George's song, "Archaeopteryx," was nominated for "Children's Song of the Year" and his satirical song, "Losing Track of Time," was quoted in The New York Times.
